Statical Stability Curve

A – area under curve up to q = 30° to be not less than 0.055 meter-radian.

B – area under curve up to q = X° to be not less than 0.090 meter-radian.

C - area between 30° and q = X° to be not less than 0.030 meter-radian.

X – 40° or any lesser angle at which water could enter hull ( qf ).

E – max. GZ to occur at angle preferably exceeding 30° but not less than 25°, and to be at least

0.20 meters at angle equal to or greater that 30°.

F – initial GM to be not less than 0.15 meter.

qf – Angle of inclination at which openings in the hull, superstructures and deckhouse ( not

closed watertight ) immerse, and angle can be obtained from “PROGRESSIVE

FLOODING ANGLE OF HEEL”.
