Herewith we would like to draw your attention to a special maintenance challenge which might be new for some of you.
On board we have of a lot of vessels which are equipped with MOB-Buoys from company Comet. Very often during inspections and internal Audits it occured that these buoys are defect or seem to be defect. First sign is that the bulbs of the buoys are full with water.
In order to avoid any problems for your safety on board please check out your MOB buoys on board as shown in the photos.
Please follow the instructions given in the test procedure in order to check if your MOB is still working or if same defect or problem occurs on your vessel.
