Secrets of healthy hair

Psychologists have long determined that hair loss and deterioration of their condition (fragility, dull color) cause a person to directly associate with loss of attractiveness, which leads to stress and depression. To avoid this, we try to wash our head with the "right" shampoo, "feed" our hair with various balms and masks, spend fabulous amounts on salon treatments.

But what barriers do we create on the way to smooth and silky hair? And is it always only in the right shampoo? The answers to these and other questions on proper hair care are in the investigation here.

Bring hair back to life

Every hair on our head goes its own way. First it is born and enters the phase of active growth - Anagen, which lasts 5-7 years. Then the stage of maturity (intermediate phase - catagen) passes for 10-14 days, after which it safely goes to rest (telogen phase) and falls out.

After this, a new young hair grows from the same follicle. Usually in healthy people, approximately 80-90% of the hair is in the anagen stage, 1-2% in the catagen stage, 10-15% in the telogen stage. If you notice that the amount of hair falling out during the day increased, you know: they, having skipped the previous stages of development, immediately found themselves in the telogen phase, and this is the first sign of deterioration of your hair.

The amount of hair on our head is laid in the womb, when the fruit is 3-4 months old. And the density and quality of the hair depends on the color of the hair. By lot, the largest number of hair falls on the share of blondes - 150 thousand, 90-95 thousand fall to brunettes, the red one gets the least - for their life 80-90 thousand hairs grow, but they have the greatest thickness.

In order for your hair to be smooth and silky, it is enough to observe several golden rules.

Shampoo is, first and foremost, a detergent, it will not make hair soft and silky (contrary to all statements of the manufacturers). Its active ingredients can protect the hair from the harmful effects of chlorinated water, but the main purpose of the shampoo is to wash off the dirt and grease accumulated from the day.

Try to choose shampoo by the type of scalp. It is also desirable that it does not contain parabens and perfumes. This shampoo creates little foam, has a liquid transparent consistency, is less harmful to the hair.

On a note:

No need to "educate" the hair, endure and walk with a dirty head in the hope that the hair will subsequently become less dirty. The head should be washed according to the degree of contamination. For example, owners of oily scalp need to do this every day, because sebum is produced in large quantities, clogs pores, interferes with normal nutrition of hair, contributes to their fragility and loss.

To wash a head it is necessary a minimum two, and even three times. The first time you wash off the surface dirt and dust from the hair, the second time is the secret that the sebaceous glands have developed. Apply and foaming shampoo is best in the palms, and then distribute it along the length. Next, massage the head with your fingers (not nails) all over the surface for 3-5 minutes to improve blood circulation and metabolism in tissues.
