Sagarmatha (Everest) National Park became one of the first national parks in Nepal to attempt to accommodate local people and customary land uses. Since then, the Park has made significant progress in trying to maintain the delicate balance of conserving natural resources while allowing local communities to continue traditional user rights. The everyday life, stories and natural resources management (with a particular attention to Forestry) of the Sherpas will give us the chance to discover all these issues. Through video, photography and words we will try to show the tight relation between people and forests.
