Ecodesign - An introduction (with subtitles)

Do you plan to include environmental considerations in the design process?Ecodesign… Is this only for large corporations? Doesn't it lead to additional costs? To the contrary! Ecodesign not only allows you to minimise impact on the environment, and to abide by the law, but also to meet customers' expectations while in certain cases also lowering costs.How is it done?Different areas can be worked on, over the complete lifecycle of a product. For example, reduce consumption of natural resources, decrease emissions, minimise the use of dangerous substances, reduce energy consumptionand minimise waste. Especially at the end of the product's lifetime: Make sure the product can be repaired, choose materials that can be separated, choose materials and components that can be recycled, and make sure dangerous substances are removable.However beware!Ecodesign covers the entire lifecycle of a product and must avoid pollution transfers from one stage to another.The result:A product that meets customers' expectations, as well as legal requirements, protection of the environment, and a major step toward a policy of Corporate Social Responsibility.
