HD Fiordland Montage Part II (4 min)
Fiordland is a rugged, remote part of the South Island of New Zealand. This video is a pilot episode of a multi episode series of different freediving and spearfishing missions I went on while traveling New Zealand in 2017-2018. The goal of this series is to portray the natural beauty of New Zealand's vast underwater world, full of kelp forests, seals, and tasty treats. The pursuit of fish, crays, paua, and other kaimoana kept me happy though many tough times while traveling and growing as a person; as well as taught me about self-reliance, hunting, primitive living, etc. Being in the water often also helped me become me aware of ecological issues such as fishery management and sustainability. Our goal as humans should always be to preserve the population of our precious ocean resources, and everything that is caught in these videos is eaten and respect is always given to the creature that gave us nutrition and a good supper.
